Job summary

You will read blueprints, operate tools, and coordinate with other maintenance staff to complete tasks efficiently while complying with hospital standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• General maintenance procedures knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications for hospital equipment.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing or carpentry tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical repairs and component replacements.
• Performs plumbing and rodding tasks as assigned.
• Carpentry repairs including doors, shelving and locks.
• Repairs plaster, brickwork or concrete as needed; fabricates small repairs.
• Inspects and maintains hospital equipment and systems; preventive maintenance.
• Maintains lighting and electrical circuits; replaces bulbs and fixtures.
• Assists with safety equipment checks and hazardous materials handling.
• Supports snow removal and other facility operations as needed.
