Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician II at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC. This full-time role on the first shift requires 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call rotation.

You will perform facility and equipment maintenance and work to ensure patient care areas and building systems operate safely and reliably. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver's license is required.
• Basic computer skills including CMMS, building automation system and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance per codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, etc.).
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables, etc.).
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, refrigerators, gas systems, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Perform general maintenance in grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Respond to emergencies and service requests; keep stakeholders informed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire doors, hardware, and fire/smoke partitions.
• Read blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
