Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a laboratory support professional to perform specimen processing and accessioning in the Main Lab. Responsibilities include data entry, transporting specimens, and delivering lab reports with attention to quality and timelines.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of clinical lab experience, familiarity with lab computer systems, and strong English written and verbal communication skills. Weekend and rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable clinical lab work experience.
• Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and accessioning in the Central Processing area.
• Enter data into the Laboratory information system and retrieve results.
• Transport specimens and print/deliver lab reports.
• Review lab reports and perform quality review and troubleshooting.
