Job summary
Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day frontline Tier 1 support for end users across the hospital and its affiliates. The role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting micro-computers and related software to ensure smooth operation of hospital systems.
The position requires an Associate's or Vocational/Technical degree in Computer Science or related field and CompTIA A+ certification, with 5+ years of computer science experience
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational/technical degree in CS or related field is required.
- 4 years of additional relevant experience is acceptable.
- CompTIA A+ Certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline Tier 1 support to end users for hospital-wide applications and IS policies.
- Identify and resolve hardware and software problems to the network level; route complex issues to higher levels.
- Install and configure new micro-computer hardware and software with users, vendors and IS staff.
- Document actions taken in the Magic Service Desk system for Trouble Tickets and Work Orders.
- Communicate with customers within the established priority scheme and schedule Work Orders promptly.
