Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an experienced HVAC Maintenance technician to support hospital operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVACR and related equipment, work across shifts, and respond to emergencies to ensure patient care continuity.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in hospital HVAC, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office and work order systems. A valid driver's license and relevant licenses are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of general HVAC maintenance experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital HVAC experience.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suites and intranet.
• Familiar with automated work order systems.
• Must have valid driver's license to operate hospital vehicles.
• DCRA Journeyman License for HVAC and Refrigeration; EPA 608; Universal CFC License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVACR systems and related equipment across the hospital.
• Respond to emergencies including leaks and fire alarms.
• Conduct safety checks throughout the hospital complex.
• Assist HVACR III/IV and other trades as assigned.
• Maintain and repair chillers, pumps, boilers, and related systems.
