Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform minor to complex maintenance and corrective service to support hospital operations.

You will maintain HVACR and mechanical systems per manufacturer specs, respond to daytime and emergency calls, and assist senior HVAC staff with projects. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 3 years Related general HVAC maintenance; Working knowledge of EPA & OSHA standards (Required)
• 2 years Hospital HVAC experience (Preferred)
• Expertise in the area of specialty.
• Math Ability: basic algebra.
• Must lift and carry 40–75 pounds; able to operate PC and mobile devices; familiar with Intranet and MS Office; strong customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform corrective maintenance on equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct low level preventive maintenance of HVAC systems per manufacturer specs.
• Maintain tickets, PM cards, project sheets and status boards.
• Respond to emergencies including leaks and fire alarms.
• Assist HVAC staff II–IV with duties and with cleaning and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Inspect and repair pumps, dampers, valves, and related HVAC components.
