Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking an HVAC Specialist to troubleshoot, repair, and modify HVAC control systems in a busy hospital setting. You will work 100% in days at University Hospital, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The role requires hands-on experience with pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls, reading printouts, and adjusting computer programs that manage fans, chillers, pumps, and dampers. Strong documentation and training responsibilities are also included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years HVAC and Building Automation System controls experience required.
• 2 years healthcare environment experience preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• BOC/ASHRAE/O&P certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and modify HVAC control systems (pneumatic, electric, and electronic equipment).
• Read printouts and interpret information to modify computer programs controlling fans, chillers, pumps, dampers and controls.
• Train operators on workstation procedures used to monitor and control the facility.
• Maintain records and documentation for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
