Job summary

University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to join the trades and facilities team on a 100% FTE day shift. You will install, modify and maintain HVAC and refrigeration control systems using Johnson Controls Metasys, fabricate and install humidity controls, and assist with system design.

You will use specialized tools for repair and calibration, manage inventory of control parts, and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Completion of a four-year approved institution course as a Control Technician Trainee or four years of applicable experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
Vocational or trade school training in control mechanisms may substitute, year-for-year, for work experience up to two years.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Responsibilities

Install, modify, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration control systems with Johnson Controls Metasys.
Fabricate and install temperature and humidity controls; assist with system design.
Use specialized tools for repair and calibration of controls.
Manage inventory of control parts and components.
Perform related duties as assigned.
