Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ seeks an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems across the facility, including air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, and pumps.

You will monitor building automation and pneumatic controls, operate related systems, and ensure safe, compliant operation. Requires EPA Type 4 certification, a valid driver's license, and several years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of basic HVAC training.
• EPA Type 4 Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Five to seven years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect and service air handlers, exhaust fans, package units, rooftops, split systems, glycol and chilled water systems.
• Monitor pneumatic controls and building automation systems.
• Operate Pneumatic Tube System, Elevators and Fire Alarm System.
