Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a friendly Receptionist to greet visitors, answer calls, and support front desk operations at our hospital. You will manage the switchboard, sign-in visitors, and perform light clerical tasks to keep communications smooth and patients well cared for.

Qualifications

• Proficient data entry and basic clerical skills.
• Ability to operate switchboard and front desk smoothly.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate area.
• Greet visitors; assist them in signing in and wearing badge.
• Enter and scan deposits, charges, and adjustments as directed.
• Run and distribute census reports each morning and at end of day.
• Assist in the entry of information related to admits, discharges, and physician changes.
• Scan all correspondence and any miscellaneous items.
• Check all therapy charges and attach census to back of each therapist’s batch.
