Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital seeks an experienced Food Service leader to direct the FS operating model at the facility. You will oversee staff, budgets, compliance, and daily operations to deliver high-quality food and service for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will drive safety, patient experience, and engagement while coordinating with the FS director to set dashboards and improvements. This role requires strong leadership and healthcare foodservice knowledge.

Qualifications

• Three years of managerial or supervisory experience in food service preferred.
• Experience in healthcare foodservice is a plus.
• Knowledge of federal and state food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily foodservice operations and department budgets.
• Ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of food per regulations.
• Lead HR activities: interviewing, hiring, staff development, and performance actions.
• Develop and monitor dashboard metrics for operations and improvement initiatives.
• Foster safety, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement across the team.
