Job summary

Avera Holy Family Hospital is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair, and maintain facilities and assets, including buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure a safe environment.

The role requires visual acuity, effective communication, and adherence to safety standards, with a focus on teamwork and timely collaboration with contractors to meet priorities.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Valid Driver's License as required by Licensing Board.
• Boiler Operator certification preferred; experience in electrical/plumbing/mechanical work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain facilities and assets including equipment.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.
• Operate and maintain steam or chilled water systems and related equipment.
• Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules with logs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete work on time.
