Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of buildings and equipment. The role includes heating, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds tasks to keep the facility safe and functional.

The position features Monday–Friday 2:45pm–11:15pm with weekend/holiday rotation, night pay after 7:00pm, and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Applicants should have a high school diploma and basic maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Driver's License.
• Boiler Operator licensing preferred.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair facilities and assets including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, remodeling, and maintenance work.
• Monitor and maintain heating, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Keep records of servicing and PM rounds; ensure safety compliance.
• Assist with safety drills and coordinate with contractors when needed.
