Job summary
Crothall Healthcare is seeking a Facilities Plant Technician to ensure safe operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical hospital utility and infrastructure systems. You will support regulatory compliance and facility reliability, performing preventative maintenance and documenting performance.
This 1st Shift runs 7am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with rotating weekends to cover essential building services and rapid response to system alarms.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical/trade school training preferred.
- 2–5 years of commercial, industrial, or healthcare facilities experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain hospital utility systems.
- Operate and maintain steam boilers and related systems.
- Monitor chilled water plants, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC equipment.
- Monitor and maintain medical air and vacuum systems.
- Monitor domestic water systems and water treatment equipment.
- Operate and monitor emergency generators and transfer switches.
- Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and respond to alarms.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain operational logs and work order documentation.
- Comply with OSHA, Joint Commission, NFPA, CMS, and hospital safety standards.
