Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring an HVAC Mechanic for the VCU Health campus on the 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday). The role entails diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining building HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, using various tools and CMMS for task tracking.

The candidate should have significant institutional maintenance experience, HVAC certification, and the ability to work with blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• 5 years in institutional maintenance or related engineering/maintenance role.
• HVAC certification or license preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Good understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Update work statuses and document tasks in CMMS via mobile device.
• Assist with staff, material needs, and timelines for jobs.
• Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems and related equipment.
• Review external vendor work and prepare punch lists.
• Respond to emergencies and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support project management and documentation activities.
