Job summary

Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is seeking a Housekeeping/EVS Associate for the Day shift. This role involves cleaning patient rooms and assigned areas in a fast-paced hospital environment, pushing a cleaning cart and handling cleaning chemicals.

Some areas may include morgue or specialty cleaning, with weekend and holiday rotations. The position offers a 40-hour work week from 6am to 2:30pm, with a $1/hour weekend differential when applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Read and understand material safety data sheets and cleaning chemical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning tasks: dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing.
• Empties hampers, transports soiled linen, removes trash and medical waste.
• Restocks supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and logs usage/repairs.
• May perform special projects like windows washing or wall washing.
• Responds to questions from patients, staff and visitors; aims for high customer service satisfaction.
• Works under supervision in an assigned facility/area with internal and external customers.
