Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a Housekeeping EVS Associate to maintain facility cleanliness by cleaning, sanitizing and caring for patient areas and common spaces. The role involves walking, pushing a cart, potential morgue or Infectious Disease Unit assignments, and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

The position requires strong teamwork, reliable communication with hospital staff, and a willingness to complete background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand MSDS and cleaning chemical instructions.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain facilities.
• Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to policy.
• Empty hampers and dispose of trash and medical waste.
• Restock supplies such as tissue, towels and soap across assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and log usage; report repairs as needed.
