Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and hospital staff daily.
• Knowledge of basic Medicare coverage guidelines and documentation requirements including CMNs.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to explain insurance criteria and documentation to patients and case managers.

Responsibilities

• Stock vehicle daily with equipment, disposables, setup paperwork, and marketing literature.
• Make rounds to contact case managers at facilities to notify discharge equipment needs.
• Communicate with center about O2 discharges and schedule home setup.
• Explain coverage criteria to case managers and patients as applicable.
• Complete setup paperwork daily for delivered equipment.
• Assist with obtaining CMNs and chart notes required for billing.
