Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Cook to prepare, serve and forecast menu items according to recipes and production methods. The role requires ensuring quality, proper temperatures and portions for service hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Ideal candidates have hospital or restaurant cooking experience and on-the-job training will be provided. This position supports our mission to deliver excellent patient care and meal service across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all foods, ensuring ready for service as scheduled and in proper quantities.
• Ensures foods are served at proper temperatures and merchandised well.
• Follows recipes and ensures proper portions for service.
• Reviews menu items and informs staff of changes as needed.
• Assists with general sanitation of the food service area.
