Job summary

Education: a high school diploma or GED is preferred, with culinary school background encouraged. One year of cooking experience is desired, and Safe Serve certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred (not required).
• Graduate of an accredited Culinary School preferred.
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited Culinary School preferred.
• 1 year experience as a cook or related substitution allowed if enrolled in culinary school.
• SAFE Serve Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks in the preparation of meals for the cafeteria, patient, and catering meals.
• Interprets recipes, cooks and assembles large volumes of food.
