Job summary

Advocate Health in Des Plaines is seeking a full-time Guest Services/Transport Associate to manage guest impressions and provide friendly, professional service. You will greet visitors, answer calls, and coordinate with departments using the Epic system for transport requests.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and typically 2 years in a customer service-facing role. The job involves standing for most of the day and assisting patients with mobility and screening as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be accurate.
• Intermediate computer skills; Epic experience a plus.
• Two years in a customer service facing role.

Responsibilities

• Manage the first and last impressions of the facility.
• Greet and assist guests with friendly, professional service.
• Answer calls and coordinate with departments and outside organizations.
• Utilize Epic for appointments and transport requests.
• Communicate with departments and transport companies on behalf of patients/visitors.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Resolve issues and recover from service failures.
• Help maintain traffic flow at facility entrances.
• Assist in transporting patients/visitors via wheelchairs and escorts.
• Assist patients in/out of vehicles as needed.
• Perform symptom screening when required.
