Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems in Newark, OH seeks a dedicated Telephone/Dispatcher Operator to manage the hospital's multi-line telephone console, operate the PA system, and dispatch essential information throughout LMHS.

The role supports emergency communications, patient information, and coordination with hospital staff while ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to policies. This is a full-time on-site position at LMHS facilities.

Qualifications

• Basic typing skills and ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Effective communication with diverse callers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate a multi-line computerized telephone console.
• Operate PA system to overhead announce emergency-related issues.
• Notify Hospital Police, Plant Operations and Safety Director as needed in response to alarms.
• Use radio to communicate with shuttle and dispatch couriers to multiple locations.
• Learn to efficiently operate the Amtelco software in order to process calls for the Physician Answering Service in addition to paging doctors, nurses, & other Hospital personnel accurately.
• Monitor safety cameras throughout the hospital facility and grounds.
