Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas seeks a Clinical Coding Auditor to ensure accurate medical coding for reimbursement and data integrity. You will review inpatient and outpatient codes, monitor coding accuracy, and lead education sessions for staff on documentation and coding standards.

Candidates should have RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CCS/CIC or equivalent AHIMA/AAPC certification, 4 years hospital coding/auditing experience, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and 3M Coding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CCS/CIC coding certifications required.
• Four (4) years of hospital coding or auditing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles.
• Experience with 3M Coding applications and coding audits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular coding audits and monitor accuracy.
• Develop and deliver education sessions on documentation and coding standards.
• Serve as a resource for coding staff on organization-wide guidelines.
• Design audit tools to monitor coding accuracy and trends.
• Keep abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
• Support professional growth and serve as a mentor to staff.
