Surgery Partners, Inc. seeks a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and drive operational excellence across the Hospital/Market.

The CEO partners with Surgery Partners, health system leaders, and physicians to advance objectives and ensure high‑quality, efficient patient care. Reporting to the COO/SVP, the CEO oversees finance, HR, compliance, and market growth, and leads physician recruitment, service line development, and market expansion while maintaining accountability for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree strongly preferred (Healthcare Administration or Business).
• Minimum of eight years of directly related healthcare facility experience.
• Experience partnering with physicians and leading physician-led platforms.
• Experience developing and motivating staff and understanding HR management and employment law.
• Financial acumen, data analysis, and experience in budgeting and strategic planning.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with physicians, staff, board, partners, and community.
• Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills.
• Ability to adapt priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a high‑pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership – oversee operational leaders and develop a culture of teamwork and performance.
• Market Growth – lead regional expansion, physician recruitment, and in‑market marketing.
• Operational Excellence – drive efficiency and company‑wide operational initiatives.
• Board/Management Company Administration – support board operations and communications.
• Medical Staff Partner – foster relationships between physicians and related organizations.
• Strategic Planning – develop and execute short‑ and long‑term plans for the organization.
• Financial Management – recommend budgets and ensure prudent resource use and revenue cycle performance.
• Community/Partner Relations – maintain a positive image with stakeholders and partners.
• Human Resources Management – delegate, manage personnel and ensure policy compliance.
• Facilities Management – oversee asset preservation, construction, and emergency planning.
• Compliance – ensure local, state, and federal regulatory compliance.
• Delivery of Healthcare Services – oversee quality of care and patient experience.
