Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Call Center Coordinator to oversee hospital services requests, bed movement, and patient placement, ensuring efficient transfers and discharge throughput.

You will supervise daily call center operations, dispatch to Support Services, train staff, and generate bed-tracking reports while collaborating with Bed Management, ER, Case Management, and IT to uphold high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of services requests for Support Services and Operations.
• Oversee performance of associates including PRN staff and ensure accurate bed tracking data.
• Train new and existing staff on bed management and dispatch procedures.
• Receive and prioritize calls, dispatch to appropriate departments, and document requests.
• Generate reports from bed-tracking and work order systems to monitor throughput.
• Maintain communication with management to ensure quality and continuity of services.
• Perform additional duties as needed to meet operational requirements.
