Job summary

Aramark’s Hospital Cafeteria Food Service Manager at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis is responsible for the operations of the assigned retail location, aligning with Aramark policies and the client contract.

You will manage guest services, staff scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and merchandise, while maintaining security and cash controls; you will lead training and improve customer service programs.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience or mix of education and experience providing comparable knowledge and skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or related field
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Point of Sales systems
• Flexible, event-based schedule including some evenings and weekends
• Strong organizational skills
• Profit and loss accountability and/or contract-managed service experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service mode

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inventory management, warehouse management, receiving, ticketing and distribution
• Work with HR to hire staff and manage staffing for events or store within payroll budget
• Develop and train customer service programs and product knowledge
• Ensure opening/closing procedures, cash and credit card accountability, and security requirements
• Address and resolve customer issues
• Verify accountability report of financial transactions including sales and transfers
• Periodically check and verify ticketing of merchandise
• Lead periodic physical inventories and count discrepancies
• Maintain client and customer rapport for business relationships
• Duties may change with company needs
