Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through federal, state, and local financial assistance programs. The role is 100% onsite at a Council Bluffs hospital, with a Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm schedule and driving required for potential patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability with changing processes and government programs.
• Experience with state and federal programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to identify eligibility for federal, state, or county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approval.
• Document cases accurately in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers.
• Coordinate enrollment and renewal paperwork for Medicaid patients.
