Job summary

Heart to Heart Hospice in Oklahoma City is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead the organization’s volunteer efforts, recruit personnel, and coordinate training aligned with hospice philosophy and regulations.

You will build partnerships with the IDG and community, ensure compliance with laws and EMR usage, manage documentation, and provide ongoing support to volunteers and patients' plans of care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in recruitment and management of volunteers, preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the IDG and the lay and professional public.
  • Working knowledge of volunteer program resources.
  • Demonstrates good communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
  • Experience with EMR software.
  • Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment of new volunteers.
  • Training new volunteers on hospice philosophy, regulations, and job duties.
  • Provides volunteers per the Hospice patient's Plan of Care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws relating to the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers.
  • Develops the volunteer program through collaboration with the IDG and administration personnel.
  • Establishes a public relations program to foster good working relations with the volunteers and the community.
  • Timely submission of all documentation.
  • Performance of other duties as required.
  • Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures.
