Job summary

Virtua Hospice is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver in-home hospice care across New Jersey. The role involves assessing patients, implementing care plans, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families in their homes.

The position is part-time/per diem with a 3rd shift schedule, requiring 2–3 years of hospice experience, NJ RN license, and valid CPR/BLS. Candidates travel statewide to provide compassionate end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of hospice nursing experience.
• Current State of New Jersey nursing license to practice as a registered nurse.
• Current CPR certification and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document nursing process - assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients in-home.
• Provide nursing care, emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments as written in the plan of care to relieve symptoms and ensure comfort.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team; travel statewide.
