Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate end-of-life care in patients' homes across New Jersey. You will assess, plan, and implement a comprehensive care plan to keep terminally ill patients comfortable and supported.

The role requires 2–3 years in hospice nursing, NY- NJ RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and strong communication with families and the interdisciplinary team. A per diem, part-time schedule with 3rd shift opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years of hospice nursing experience.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current State of New Jersey registered nurse license (RN).
CPR certification and BLS.

Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for home-based patients.
Administer medications and treatments as per care plan; provide patient and family education.
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and outside referral sources to promote hospice philosophy of care.
On-call responsibilities and after-hours coverage as assigned; participate in weekend/holiday coverage.
Maintain documentation within agency timelines and ensure HIPAA compliance.
