Job summary

Hospice of Virginia in Richmond seeks an RN Admissions Nurse to support Richmond and surrounding counties. Join our compassionate team of clinicians who make a difference in end-of-life care.

Shift 7 on 7 off, 9am–8pm, with competitive benefits including PTO, 401(k) match, and paid holidays. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
• Must possess current CPR Certification.
• 1 year of Hospice experience preferred.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-admission evaluations to determine appropriateness of services.
• Educate and inform patients and families about services and admission process.
• Obtain informed consent.
• Provide nursing assessment, initial care plan, and interventions to optimize comfort and quality of life.

What Youll Do

• Perform pre admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services


• Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patientsfamilies of its services

• Provides nursing assessment initial plan of care and interventions that optimize patient and family directed comfort and quality of life

Qualifications
