Job summary

HopeWest is seeking a Float RN for Montrose Community Hospice with a fixed Friday–Monday schedule and a 8am–5pm shift. The role includes admissions, symptom management, and providing care in patients' homes, nursing facilities, and other settings.

A strong focus on relationship-based care and teamwork drives this position. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of nursing experience, an active Colorado RN license, CPR certification, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in home health, hospice, or acute care strongly preferred.
• Current Colorado RN license maintained throughout employment.
• Current CPR certification maintained throughout employment.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate emotional or high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion.
• Experience with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship-based care and support to patients and families.
• Complete admissions and support the team during coverage needs.
• Care for patients in the setting they call home: private homes, nursing homes, group homes or assisted living facilities.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.

Location: Montrose, Colorado

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Pay Range: Weekend differential of $5/hr for Sat-Sun

ASN: $35.02–$38.75/hour

BSN: $36.20–$40.05/hour
