Job summary

Superior Hospice in Minnesota is seeking an on-call Hospice RN to provide compassionate, in-home care during evenings and overnights on a 7-on/7-off schedule. This role involves after-hours calls, symptom management, and coordination with physicians and the hospice team to relieve distress and support families.

Active MN RN license required; hospice, ICU, oncology, or palliative care backgrounds encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Registered Nurse license required.
• Hospice experience preferred; ICU, oncology, home health, emergency or palliative care backgrounds encouraged.
• Excellent clinical judgment and independent decision-making.
• Strong communication to build trust in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours hospice calls and urgent patient needs in the Twin Cities Metro.
• Perform in-home assessments and provide symptom management and comfort-focused nursing care.
• Support patients and families through changing conditions with confidence and compassion.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
