Job summary

Superior Hospice is seeking a Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, symptom-focused care in patients' homes across the Twin Cities Metro, with a 7 On / 7 Off evening and overnight schedule.

Active Minnesota RN license and hospice or related experience are preferred. You will assess changing conditions, manage symptoms, coordinate with the care team, and document thoroughly in EMR while delivering dignity and support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license.
• Hospice experience preferred; ICU, oncology, home health, emergency, or palliative care encouraged.
• Excellent clinical judgment and independent decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and the ability to build trust during stressful situations.
• Availability for a 7 On / 7 Off evening and overnight schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours hospice calls and urgent patient needs throughout the Twin Cities Metro.
• Perform in-home assessments and provide symptom management, medication administration, and comfort-focused nursing care.
• Support patients and families through changing conditions with confidence and compassion.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
