Job summary

Superior Hospice, part of the Home Health Care, Inc. family, is seeking an experienced Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) for the Minneapolis area.

You will respond to after-hours calls, conduct urgent visits, assess evolving patient conditions, and guide care with the interdisciplinary team. This role offers a predictable 7 On / 7 Off schedule with evening and overnight rotations, competitive hourly pay plus beeper compensation, and autonomy to apply your clinical judgment in complex patient

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license required.
• Hospice experience preferred; ICU/oncology/palliative care backgrounds considered.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Comfort with independent practice in fast-changing situations.
• Excellent communication and compassionate patient care.
• Availability for 7 On / 7 Off evening and overnight rotations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours hospice calls throughout the Twin Cities Metro service area.
• Perform urgent nursing visits and comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Manage pain, symptoms, medications, and changing patient conditions.
• Support and educate families while coordinating care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation.
