Job summary

Superior Hospice in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) for a 7 on/7 off schedule. You will respond to after-hours calls, perform emergency visits, and provide expert symptom management with autonomy and support from an interdisciplinary hospice team.

Ideal candidates will have hospice/home health or high-acuity experience, strong assessment and crisis management abilities, and flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Minnesota RN license.
• Hospice nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in home health, oncology, ICU or palliative care is valued.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours calls and urgent patient needs in the service area.
• Complete emergency hospice visits to assess condition and manage symptoms.
• Deliver pain management, meds administration, wound care and comfort nursing.
• Provide compassionate telephone support and education to patients and families.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospice team to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation.
