Job summary

Affinity Health Management in Sarasota, FL seeks an Intake Coordinator to oversee the patient intake process and lead the intake team. You will manage insurance verification and authorizations, maintain relations with referral sources, and ensure completion of intake policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in health care, preferably in home care operations.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
• Knowledge of corporate business management, governmental regulations, CHAP standards, and private payer practices.
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Responsible for managing all aspects of the patient intake process including managing the members of the intake team, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and managing the insurance verification and authorization processes.
