Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Hospice Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina for per diem, casual scheduling. The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care within an interdisciplinary team.

The NP will manage symptoms, provide comfort, and support patients and families, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, and collaboration with physicians and care teams.

Qualificações

• Current and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license for the assigned state.
• Authority to practice and prescribe as NP where services are provided.
• Medicare billing privileges for NP.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement and coding.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate significant findings to the clinical manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Complete face-to-face encounters and assess disease progression, function, pain and symptom control.
• Order and review labs, X-rays, EKGs and other diagnostics for palliation and document the plan.
• Refer to other disciplines as indicated by patient needs.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team conferences.
