We are seeking an experienced Hospice Executive Director to lead the overall operations of a growing hospice organization in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
The Executive Director will oversee clinical and administrative operations, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial performance, quality initiatives, and business development. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an experienced hospice professional who understands both the clinical mission of hospice and the operational requirements of running a successful agency.
Provide overall leadership and direction for hospice operations
Oversee clinical, administrative, operational, and financial performance
Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare, state, federal, and accreditation requirements
Lead and support clinical and administrative department leaders
Monitor census, admissions, staffing, productivity, expenses, and other key performance indicators
Develop and execute strategies to support census growth and referral development
Maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, referral partners, and other healthcare organizations
Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and promote employee retention and development
Partner with clinical leadership to maintain high standards of patient care
Manage budgets and support the organization's financial and operational goals
Establish a positive, accountable, and patient-focused culture
Prior hospice leadership experience required
Previous experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, Branch Director, Director of Operations, or similar hospice leadership role strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare requirements, compliance, and quality standards
Demonstrated experience managing hospice operations and multidisciplinary teams
Strong understanding of census development, referrals, staffing, budgeting, and financial performance
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree preferred
RN license is a plus but not required depending on experience
