Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Enterprise, AL is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to support patients under RN supervision. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care within a hospice setting.

You will perform personal care, assist with daily activities, monitor vitals when ordered, and support families. Must be CNA, with CA HHA if applicable, and have CPR. Valid driver license and background check required.

Qualifications

• Must be a CNA; CA requires HHA in good standing
• Preferred 1 year hospice/community health experience
• Minimum 75 hours classroom and supervised training
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle
• Willingness to submit to a background check annually
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care and respond to patient requests promptly
• Provide patient and family with positive communication and confidentiality
• Meet safety needs and use equipment safely (foot stools, rails, O2)
• Assist with baths, grooming, oral hygiene, linens
• Assist in dressing and undressing, meals and feeding
• Take vitals when ordered and document accurately
• Observe skin integrity and report changes to Case Manager
• Assist with ambulation and transfers as directed
• Maintain care plan compliance and proper documentation
• Provide respite for family and keep area clean and orderly
