Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking experienced Certified Home Health Aides to join our patient-focused team. Under RN supervision, you will perform personal care, support families, and promote comfort in the home setting while adhering to care plans and safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold a valid CNA (with HHA where applicable), CPR, and a valid driver’s license. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and respectful communication with patients and their loved ones.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing.
• California regulation requires HHA certification in good standing for CA.
• Preferred 1 year in community health, hospice, or medical/surgical settings.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training completed.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle in good working order.
• Willingness to undergo background check and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Communicate with patient and family in a respectful, confidential manner.
• Meet safety needs and use equipment properly.
• Assist with feeding, meals, and activities as assigned.
• Document care and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Support in mobility, transfers, and routine home care tasks.
