Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide for the Enterprise, AL location. You will work under a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate personal care, comfort, and assistance to patients in their homes.

The ideal candidate is a CNA with CPR certification, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and can work autonomously within the plan of care. This full-time role includes benefits and opportunities for professional training.

Qualifications

• CNA in good standing; additional CA requirements for HHA in California.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and care plans.
• Comfort with providing hospice-level personal care under RN supervision.
• Must have CPR certification and valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks per patient assignment and report issues to Case Manager.
• Communicate with patients and families with confidentiality and respect.
• Ensure safety by using equipment properly (foot stools, side rails, O2, etc.).
• Provide baths, oral hygiene, grooming, and linen changes as assigned.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and nutrition planning per plan of care.
• Record vital signs when ordered and demonstrate competency.
• Observe skin condition and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and ROM as directed by hospice staff.
• Support respite care for family/caregiver when on-site.
• Maintain clean and orderly living areas and adhere to documentation standards.
