Job summary

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to provide in-home care across patient settings. You’ll perform essential bedside tasks, assist with bathing, dressing and daily activities, and chart at the patient’s bedside using an EMR system.

You’ll coordinate with RNs and families to support comfort and safety. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, starting after orientation, with 45–60 minutes per patient and driving between visits.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or current CNA registration.
• Must complete 12 hours in-service training supervised by an RN on a rolling 12-month basis.
• Competency assessed in the home every 14 days; onsite evaluation annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in homes or facilities, including bathing, peri-care, dressing, mouth care, toileting and meals.
• Chart patient status and interventions in the facility EMR when needed.
• Perform bedside documentation using company cellphone.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient safety.
• Tidy patient areas and change bed linens between visits.
