Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Hospice, part of LHC Group and a member of the Optum family, seeks a Home and Community Based Services Aide to support an individual in their home. The role focuses on assisting with personal hygiene and daily living tasks to help clients stay in their own homes.

The position requires a NC CNA certification, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation with travel within Cumberland, Hoke, and Robeson counties. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $23.85 per hour for full-time work.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
• CPR certification preferred; ability to complete within 90 days of hire is a plus.
• Flexibility to work in-home care with limited supervision and travel within counties.”

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
