Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida or current active compact license.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Experience with an EMR/EHR system.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Flexible schedule to meet patient needs.
• Physical ability to lift patients and equipment; navigate stairs.
• Ability to handle emotional stress of caring for terminally ill patients.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct care to patients and families as part of Interdisciplinary Group (IDG).
• Coordinates staff and patient care to meet patient and family needs per plan of care.
• Recommends alternative approaches to patient care while following policies.
• Provides education to IDG members on symptom control and resources.
• Enhances clinical practice by mentoring staff and acting as a resource.
• Collaborates with Medical Services, Pharmacy, Infusion Program, and Continuous Care.
• Communicates clearly with physicians, staff, patients, families and supervisors.
• Ensures timely attention to patient concerns and outstanding care.
