Job summary

ProCare Hospice in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Bereavement Coordinator to lead the bereavement program and provide spiritual counseling as part of an Interdisciplinary Group. You will coordinate assessment, plan of care, and bereavement services for patients, families, and caregivers in alignment with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities include case management, staff supervision, outreach, and memorial services while ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with accreditation

Qualifications

• Documented experience or education in grief or loss counseling sufficient to supervise the hospice bereavement program
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, divinity/theology, pastoral care, or related field, and/or CPE, preferred
• Certified Grief Recovery Specialist or equivalent credential preferred
• Minimum 1 year of chaplain/spiritual counselor or bereavement coordinator experience preferred
• Must read, write, and understand English; eligible for Nevada licensure if required

Responsibilities

• Lead bereavement program under IDG guidance and plan of care
• Conduct bereavement assessments and develop bereavement plans of care
• Provide pre- and post-death grief support to patients, families, and caregivers
• Deliver spiritual counseling to a designated caseload
• Coordinate bereavement outreach, groups, and memorial services
• Maintain accurate documentation in clinical records per policy
• Ensure compliance with hospice regulations and accreditation standards
• Supervise bereavement staff and volunteers and provide ongoing education
