Job summary

Reserve Care seeks a spiritual care professional to join the hospice team in providing compassionate spiritual support to patients and families. You will assess needs, deliver counseling, and collaborate with the transdisciplinary group to develop care plans.

The role includes coordinating volunteers, arranging memorial services, and addressing bereavement needs within a trusted, mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity preferred or college/university degree in a related field.
• Four completed units of CPE or equivalent pastoral training.
• Experience with terminally ill patients in healthcare settings.
• Ability to drive and hold a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Promote Reserve Care mission within the transdisciplinary team and with patients/families.
• Assess spiritual needs, provide direct consultation, and set care goals.
• Link patients with community clergy; coordinate volunteers for patients.
• Communicate patient information to the team and attend Team Conferences.
• Address ethical and religious/spiritual issues related to loss and bereavement.
• Plan Memorial Services and coordinate with Bereavement team; support emergency coverage.
