Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Mobile, AL is hiring a PRN Hospice Aide to assist with personal care and homemaking tasks in accordance with state and federal regulations.

You will participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, communicate with supervisors and co-workers about patient needs, and foster positive relationships with patients, families, and facility staff. Requirements include 18+, HS diploma or GED, CPR, 6 months direct care experience, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification program completion or competency evaluation.
• Six months of direct care experience.
• CPR certification.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Provide personal care and assistance with homemaking tasks in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Completed High School or earned Equivalency Diploma
• Successful completion of a formal certification training program or a written skills test and competency evaluation
• Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience in a direct care setting
• CPR Certified
• Have dependable transportation, current driver’s license and auto insurance
