Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Wesley Chapel, FL seeks a field-based healthcare sales professional to support patient admissions, education, and transitions to care. You will build referral networks with hospitals, physician practices, and senior care facilities.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, relationship building, and adherence to VITAS pain and symptom management guidelines while coordinating care and using our information system.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare sales or service experience preferred.
• Previous hospital, physician practice, LTC or ALF experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in information gathering, education, and form completion during patient intake and admission.
• Develop a consultative relationship with assigned accounts through customer contacts and presentations.
• Evaluate patients for hospice appropriateness via medical records review as ordered.
• Obtain agreement for admission from referred patients and families.
• Maintain competence in pain and symptom management and coordination of care.
• Plan and prioritize responsibilities to maximize business results.
• Communicate effectively with customers individually and in group settings.
• Learn VITAS pain and symptom management guidelines and use our information system.
