Job summary

Indian River Habitat for Humanity seeks a Certified Credit Counselor/Financial Coach to guide households toward homeownership readiness. You will assess finances, build budgets, reduce debt, and coach clients one-on-one in a compassionate, confidential setting.

You'll collaborate with housing teams to prepare applicants for lender readiness, navigate programs, and document progress while maintaining compliance and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and housing counseling background is a plus.
• Experience in mortgage services or housing counseling is beneficial.
• Strong financial coaching and budget management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counseling and one-on-one coaching to households.
• Assess credit, debt, income and expenses; create action plans and follow up.
• Help clients prepare for lender readiness and Habitat Homebuyer programs.
• Maintain counseling files and required reporting with confidentiality.
